AP US History Exam Review
Eeek! It's coming up and you're not liking it so far! If you haven't studied that much throughout the year, there's no better time than now! "Terms, terms, terms..." as Mr. Johnston would say yet if you are looking for additional term help and other links to help you study, here's the place to be. Good Luck (and may the odds be ever in your favor ^.^)!!

What to expect on the AP Exam
The exam is three hours and fifteen minutes long. There are four main sections to the test. In Section I is a total of 100 minutes consisting of multiple choice questions and a short answer portion. In the multiple choice portion you will complete 55 questions in 55 minutes. In the short answer portion you must answer four questions in 45 minutes. Section II is a total of 95 minutes where you will answer one Document Based Question (DBQ) and one Free Response Question (FRQ). It is suggested that you take 15 minutes to plan the DBQ and 45 minutes to write, then 35 minutes to write the FRQ. The multiple choice is worth 40% of the exam, short answer is worth 20%, the DBQ is worth 25%, and the FRQ is worth 15%. You will get a 10 minute break in between Section I and Section II. No cell phones or other electronic devices are allowed in the testing room and you must have a #2 pencil and a black or blue ink pen for the essay section (no mechanical pencils or highlighters).
On the Multiple Choice Portion
-Pre-Columbian to 1789 are 20% (10 questions)
-1790 to 1914 are 45% (23 questions)
-1915 to the Present are 35% (12 questions)
